Dard Hunter: The Graphic Works
Hardcover smyth-sewn casebound book, with jacket. 112 pages, 8 x 9 ¼ inches, with 120 color reproductions. Appendices include Dard Hunter’s 1904 newspaper article about the Roycroft community, and Hunter’s complete pamphlet text, Make Arts-and-Crafts Things at Your Home (Roycroft Press, 1909).
The distinctive typography and elegant compositions designed by William Joseph “Dard” Hunter (American, 1883–1966) have become icons of the American Arts and Crafts style and have established him as one of America’s most influential graphic artists of the twentieth century.
Dard Hunter: The Graphic Works features more than eighty of his designs for book covers and title pages, booklets, bookplates, brochures, letterheads, and stained glass windows. Accompanied by historical photographs and examples from Hunter’s design contemporaries, author Lawrence Kreisman’s illuminating text establishes Hunter as a unique voice that emerged from a multitude of extraordinary influences in an incomparable era of flourishing artistic achievement.
About the Author:
LAWRENCE KREISMAN, M.A., M. Arch., Hon. AIA Seattle, is coauthor with Glenn Mason of the groundbreaking study, The Arts and Crafts Movement in the Pacific Northwest (Timber Press, 2007) and co-curator of the subsequent traveling exhibition; program director of Historic Seattle; and has authored nine books on architecture, design history, and historic preservation.

Ginkgo Leaf Brooch, Sterling Silver
Ginkgo leaf brooch, hand crafted in sterling silver by Joycelyn Merchant, using a decorative hand-hammered texture to reflect the design of Nature's ginkgo leaf. This pin is polished and shiny. It fastens with a quality nickel silver pin finding with a locking clasp which is hard soldered to back of pin. Each piece is individually hand-forged with much care and attention to detail, and therefore each is unique.
Measurements of brooch are approximately:
Medium brooch (250ss): 1 3/4” width x 1” height.
Large brooch (254ss): 2” width x 1 1/4” height.
Extra Large brooch (251ss): 2” width x 1 1/2” height.

Here's a new twist on the popular WPA Note Cards designed by our friends at Ranger Doug's Enterprises- great for those of us who would love to have all the WPA posters, but have limited wall space!
We've taken 8 of our favorite 4x6 notecards and mounted them in a “Beige” multiple-opening archival mat, then framed them in our "Oak Park" quarter sawn white oak frame. The result is simply beautiful; and it only has a 24” x 19” overall footprint.

Double Ginkgo leaf pendant, shown in 1/20th 14k gold filled, hand crafted by Joycelyn Merchant: forged using a decorative hammered texture to reflect the design of Nature's ginkgo leaf. This gold filled pendant is polished and shiny. Sold without a chain. Most standard small commercial chains and thin cords will fit through the opening in the bail, which has a clearance of about 3/16"(inches).
1/20th 14k gold filled is a high quality metal in which a layer of 14k gold is laminated to an inner core of bronze, making it a nice alternative to 14k gold. You get the look of gold at a much more affordable price. It wears very well and will not wear off like gold plating sometimes has a tendency to do.

Height: 1 1/16" (bottom of leaf to top of pendant bail).
Width 1 1/4" (at widest point across).
